Kenyan artists Onyis Martin and Paul Onditi selected as part of African Metropolis. An Imaginary City opening at MAXXI Museum in Rome on 22 June 2018.

Curated by Simon Njami and co-curated by Elena Motisi, the exhibition presents the works of 34 artists reflecting on the on-going social and cultural transformations.

Through five chapters, the African Metropolis presents the complex structure of a metropolis in which the urban space is seen as a location for the coming together of diverse experiences in which tradition and contemporaneity dialogue.
